Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. This location used to be good. The last few times we got bagels here they were very hard and stale. I will never step foot in their door again. Worst place for bagels.

My wife and I visited Elaine’s for the first time this morning. The restaurant was empty and service was slow but we were excited to try the bagels. After we ordered the woman behind the counter verified what we wanted on our bagels (a poppy seed with NO cheese, bacon, and egg. And a cheddar with cheese, bacon, and egg) and began preparing them. We started to become skeptical when we saw her using a standard kitchen toaster to toast our bagels. We really started getting nervous when we saw her begin cooking our eggs in the microwave, but we decided to still give it a chance. We paid and then went outside to taste the food. The bagel I stayed I did not want cheese on had cheese and the other did not. Both bagels were stale tasting, chewy, and EXTREMELY tough. It was very clear they were either frozen and thawed or had been sitting out for too long. Definitely not fresh. The microwaved egg was also disgusting. The absolute worst bagels we’ve ever had. Definitely will not be back and do not recommend.

I was really excited to try this bagel shop, but my experience was a huge disappointment. First off, their bagels are displayed so far back that you can’t even get a good look at them before you buy. I decided to give them a shot anyway, but when I got home, I was shocked. The bagels were completely flat—like someone had stepped on them. They didn’t have the fluffy, chewy texture a good bagel should have, and the flavor was equally lackluster. It’s hard to understand how a place that specializes in bagels could get them so wrong. On top of that, the fact that they keep the bagels out of sight feels deceptive, like they don’t want you to notice how poor the quality is until after you’ve paid. Definitely won’t be coming back here. If you’re looking for real bagels, look elsewhere!

From out of town but saw the sign and decided I needed to try this place. Stopped in and got a bakers dozen bagels and so far all of them have been amazing! We brought them home and made some amazing sandwiches and some just plain and simple with cream cheese. All of them are amazing! Will def go back when we visit again! It would be cool if they offered some bacon egg and cheese or sausage egg and cheese options in store but I understand that's a fair amount of equipment acquisition to make happen

We ordered 1 bagel with butter (see photo), and 1 bagel sandwich. The bagel with butter had so much butter, it was barely edible. The bagel sandwich (sausage & cheese) wasn’t toasted or warmed. I asked her to toast it for me and she microwaved it for so long that the food became rock hard. I ended up throwing it away. The service was poor and the interior was dark & unfriendly. I will not be back.
